Charlesworth exit confirmed

It has been confirmed that Ric Charlesworth has resigned from his post as India's hockey consultant. Charlesworth had earlier denied his resignation, saying that he was traveling back to Australia to visit his mother who is unwell. His decision to quit is due to him not being satisfied with the working conditions and his inability to have his outstanding salary arrears cleared. The 54 year old former Australian captain said that he was given ‘entirely unrealistic’ targets and inadequate support staff to meet them.
