Powell sizzles in Monaco

Russian Yelena Isinbayeva broke the Women's Pole Vault world record for the 23rd time in her career after she cleared 5.04 metres with her final attempt at the IAAF Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo. This was the third time she set a new world mark this year. Meanwhile, Jamaican Asafa Powell clocked 9.82 seconds to clinch a third straight 100 metres title in his last major meeting before the Olympics. This was also his best time of the year.
