Casey Stoner showed why he is the reigning MotoGp champion. He took the pole position in the US Grand Prix at the Laguna Seca and bettered his own lap record there with a time of time of one minute, 20.700 seconds. This was nearly 1.5 secs faster than his own lap record he set last year. Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden will complete the front row.
