Carat
Many goods are sold by weight by the kilogram, ounce, pond or ton. Even people who have never brought a diamond are used to the idea that weight and price are related. The weight of a diamond is measured in Carats, and there are 100 points to a carat. One carat is equal to one fifth of gram. The higher the carat weight, the more valuable the diamond is considered
