Palace in Lhasa

The palace of Dalai Lama is the Polata Palace in Lhasa which is a symbol and a masterpiece of architecture. The French historian Edouard de Laboulaye made the plans to construct this historic monument after the American Civil war. The statue is a symbol of freedom and equality and was gifted by the French to the USA on the occasion of its 100th anniversary of independence.

London was the first place in the world where the underground railway system was built. The route of the underground railway was four miles long from the Paddington station to the Farrington road. The construction of the underground railway system was a complicated process where walls of trenches are made of bricks and also strong steel beams to make roofs were made. The trains ran in the underground and vehicles were run over the roof.

The Great wall of China was built in order for protection from Mongol invaders. In the year 246 B.C China was segregated into different provinces until King shih Huang Ti united into an empire. To the Northern region of his great empire lived the barbaric mongols and they threatened to attack the empire at any time. So the King ordered to build a great wall for protection from the Mongol barbarics.

Dew

During early mornings near our home we have seen drops of water on grass, trees and also in the garden appearing like pearls shining on ground. It is nothing but the dew. The dew formation is greater when the sky is very clear and when the sky is somewhat cloudy the dew formation is less. There is a greater evopration of water for trees and plants when the sky is clear and hence the dew formation is greater.

Marble is a some kind of limestone which is available in many colors. The popular marble is white marble which was used in buildings construction during the ancient time. The greece and Egypt people used the white marble for the construction for temples. White marble has always been used as a favorite material for architecture and many other purposes such as sculpture. Michealangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci used white marble for their works.

Ice is made from freezing the water. Water becomes ice when it freezes at a temperature of 0 degrees. Dry Ice is made from solid carbon dioxide. It is made when carbon dioxide directly turns from gas state to solid at a tempereature of -80 degree celsius. It causes frost bite if we touch it directly and also it is very heavy.

Know about the plastics

A lot of people came to me and told me that plastics occur naturally and I did not concur with them. I found out through books and told them that plastics are manufactured and they did not occur naturally at all. The word plastics was derived from the greek word ‘Plastikos’ which means to mould.
